ISIS militants arrested the fifteen Iraqi soldiers and released a video
in which they were being tortured by the militants in detention. The
soldiers can be seen in miserable condition as militants are treating
them as war prisoners. The ISIS militants have demanded the release of
their 25 soldiers or get ready to face drastic results. The Iraqi army
chief has confirmed the arrest of their soldiers and warned ISIS to mend
their ways. Moreover, he gave an ultimatum of two days to free the
soldiers.
“The militants attacked a military camp and fired rocket launchers as well. Three hundred soldiers were present at the time of the attack. In the counter attack, thirty ISIS militants were killed by the Iraqi forces while some sustained serious injuries. Unfortunately, the militants got the benefit of the darkness and kidnapped 15 soldiers with them ”, said Iraqi military chief while talking to the journalists. He vowed to arrest the attackers soon and ensured the families of the soldiers of his full support.
